After Midnight with Linley Hamilton

Linley continues his long run on BBC radio Ulster with his popular Sunday midnight show, After Midnight with Linley Hamilton. Every week he plays the best in contemporary jazz and fusion, featuring the music of Kenny Garrett, Michael Brecker, Steely Dan amongst others. In addition to that he has a diary page of weekly events and an interview slot every week. Interviews to date have included Esbjorn Svensson, Walter Becher, Jim Beard, Curtis Stigers, Billy Cobham ans Stacy Kent. Linley Embarks on Masters Course

Linley has reently embarked on a year-long Masters Course in Jazz Performance in DIT, Dublin. The teaching team is headed up by guitarist Mike Neilson, but others on the course include Linley's mates Hugh Buckley, Cain Boylan, and Cormac Kenevey. So far so good! Keep watching this space...
Major new project with Simon McBride

Linley and Simon have just started to write/record a new project with the first track finished and in the bag. They describe it as "Chris Booth with balls", so if your into smooth with a bit of rough thrown in, this should appeal to you, so keep checking back here for updates!
Smyth and Gibson sponsorship

It's official. Smyth and Gibson are sponsoring the damned handsome Linley Hamilton Quartet with four matching suits, shirts and ties. It is their intention to photograph the band regularly wearing the suits, and establish a poster site in their coffee shop in Bedford Street! New Recordings

2008 was an interesting year with a cuple of originals making their way to the CD world. The project with Simon McBride has kicked off and "Maggie" and "Keep It Lit" are in the can! Beoga has released another new album, with Linley doing solo and section work once again, and the eagerly awaited album with Mark McKnight is complete. In late 2009 Linley is following up with a Jazz album of original music featuring compositions by himself, Hugh Buckley and Scott Flanagan. Stay tuned!
