This led to Linley embarking on a PhD in Jazz Performance at UU Magee earlier this year where he also runs a Jazz Orchestra which will be touring later this year. In 2010 he formed a new band with Johnny Taylor piano, Dan Bodwell Bass and Dominic Mullan drums. The band, the Linley Hamilton Quartet recorded their debut album Taylor Made, which has received considerable critical acclaim leading to the band headlining at the Triskel Arts Centre at this years Cork Jazz Festival.
